Marvel Studios and Sony announced their collaboration to reboot Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2015, and we later find out that Tom Holland will play a wall crawler. Holland has been great at the role, which has appeared in five films since the initial deal was struck. Lots of people have their own opinion about why the deal was done, but now we know for sure. During reddit Paul Sarker, a former attorney for Marvel Studios, has revealed the real reason the studios got together.
“That’s a great question and maybe we should do an episode of Better Call Paul if we can. I worked on this initially on the right before I left, but I can’t say for sure how the conversations started,” Sarker wrote on Reddit. “At the time, Sony was swaying a little bit about leaking interviews and things related to North Korea, and that might have helped start the conversation. But I think both sides knew there was a lot of great potential if they cooperated not to do that.”
The next Marvel Studios movie is Thor: Love and Thunder From the looks of it, the movie is absolutely insane. That says a lot for a movie that follows the madness of Thor: Ragnarok. Taika Waititi is back to direct Love and Thunder, and he even says this is the craziest movie he’s ever made. Previously, the director stated that the Thor sequel would up the ante on an insane scale. While speaking with Empire Magazine, Waititi went into detail about how this movie is the craziest thing he’s done in his life.
“Okay, just between [me and] You, readers, have done some crazy in my life. I’ve lived, like, ten times. But it was the craziest movie I’ve ever done, “Whitety Share.” If you jot down all the elements of that movie, it wouldn’t make sense, the director added, “It’s almost as if it shouldn’t be made. If you walk into a room and say, ‘I want this and this and this and that.’ Who’s on the inside? These people. What would you call it?” ?Love and Thunder. I mean, you’ll never work again. I probably won’t do it then.”
The studio describes the film as follows: “The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey like never before – in search of inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic assassin known as the butcher of the god Gore (Christian Bale),” To combat this threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Tica Waititi) and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who, to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably uses his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as Mighty Thor. Together, they embark on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the secret of the butcher god’s vengeance and stop it before it’s too late.”
The film is directed by Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth as the titular character, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster / Mighty Thor, Russell Crowe as Zeus, Jamie Alexander as Lady Sword, Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord, Sean Jean as Craiglin, Dave Bautista as Drax Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula and Christian Bale as Gore’s Divine Butcher. In addition to directing, Waititi will reprise his role as Korg. Thor: Love and Thunder It arrives in cinemas on July 8, 2022!
